The Apple Watch Series 11 Review: Wrist-Flickingly Good and Longer Battery Life

Our newest Apple Watch Series Eleven brings the one thing the majority really need in a wearable device: longer battery life.

In other aspects, this latest version functions as a straightforward upgrade to the Series 10, matching it in appearance, dimensions and capabilities, with many of enhancements originating from watchOS.

This new model is also priced £30 lower for UK customers, costing from £369 sterling (€449/$399/A$679), positioned above the fresh redesigned £219 Watch SE for entry-level buyers and the £749 Ultra 3 in the premium segment.

Design and Display

Like last year's Series 10, the new model measures only under 10mm slim, which makes it a trim appearance on your arm, simple to slide below clothing and easier to wear at night.

This 2,000-nit interface offers excellent visibility for viewing in various lighting, staying legible when viewed from different angles, which makes taking a peek to check time or messages straightforward.

Protecting the display by glass reportedly double the scratch resistance as before, although not as hard compared to sapphire, that remains exclusive for the more expensive titanium versions.

Performance and Battery

The new watch features the same S10 chip from the previous generation while adding support for cellular 5G capability and stronger reception for those times when you're in the wilderness.

The batteries demonstrate growth in capacity by 9% and 11% in the 42 millimeter and 46 millimeter models respectively.

Bigger version lasted a good two full days in testing including sleep monitoring but without exercise.

Most people should approximately be able to track 48 hours including sleep prior to requiring power, requiring just over an hour with a 20-watt or greater power adaptor (not included), achieving around 70 percent in half an hour.

If you do participate in workouts, battery endurance reaches about eight hours for monitoring, which is long enough to complete marathons or multiple events.

The standout addition is the wrist-flick gesture, where you rapidly twist your arm outward and reversing to close applications and go back to the main interface.

The feature operates without lifting your arm to view the screen, allowing users to turn off alerts through simple motion with your hand.

Wellness Monitoring

This smartwatch includes a complete wellness tracking package of tools found in earlier versions but adds several fresh capabilities along with updated exercise application.

High BP warnings check for symptoms of high blood pressure over a 30-day period, informing wearers to seek medical advice if cardiac metrics indicates potential undetected issues.

Updated sleep scoring improves sleep monitoring more straightforward to analyze, like other brands including various manufacturers.

Each morning the device displays a numerical rating separated into components in three sections: time asleep, schedule and wakeups, each easy to understand and available via the health software on the iPhone as well.

Exercise companion is an AI coach utilizing your past activity records to give you pep talks during fitness activities, including identifying existing workout history regular activity patterns and exertion levels you achieved.
